The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) International Automobile Expo and The New Energy and Smart Automobile Expo in 2020 opened on June 20 in the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian district of Shenzhen city, South China’s Guangdong province.

Co-hosted by China National Machinery Industry International Co (Sinomachint) and China Ocean Aviation Group Limited (COAG), subsidiaries of Sinomach, and supported by the Shenzhen Automobile Dealers Association and the Federation of Shenzhen Industries, the auto expo is a testament to the recovery of the convention and exhibition industry in Shenzhen this year and shows that China’s auto market has a warming-up momentum. It was the first of three large annual auto shows in China this year.

The GBA Auto Show, formerly known as the Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao International Auto Show, has a history of 23 years. The organizer of this year’s expo followed the GBA integration trend and has successfully created a high-level and more influential international auto event, covering 130,000 square meters and attracting 102 automakers from home and abroad to showcase about 1,000 new vehicle models.

Shenzhen has issued various preferential policies for car purchases, such as subsidies and tax breaks. There is no denying that the auto show will revive the domestic auto market’s confidence and help China's car sales to rebound.
