Sinomach subsidiary China Foma (Group) Co (China Foma) was recently approved by a third-party certification authority and received a certificate of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), an independent and non-governmental organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests.

FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits. It is an example of a market-based certification program used as a transnational environmental policy.

Being a FSC certification holder is an essential requirement to engage in a timber-related trading business, and the certificate further shows the competitiveness of China Foma in the trade of wood products.
