The Beijing Daxing International Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone has been officially put into operation. Sinomach subsidiary China IPPR International Engineering Co Ltd (IPPR) participated in the construction of the comprehensive bonded zone.

It is expected to be a world-class bonded area and also a new benchmark for the innovation and development of the global airport economy. The bonded zone is located inside the airport economic zone, which covers an area of 150 square kilometers, of which 50 sq km is in Beijing.

Key industrial projects such as intelligent logistics, cross-border e-commerce and digital trade will be encouraged to settle in the zone. Also, new business models combining bonded services with research, maintenance and exhibition will be cultivated.

When operational, the bonded zone will take international trade as its pillar industry, and will be supported by modern logistics and service trade sectors.

It is expected to become a new engine of export-oriented economic development, as well as an important base for improving the opening-up of Beijing's services and a distribution platform for high-end consumer goods and cutting-edge products in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

IPPR has made outstanding contributions to the smooth construction of the project by giving full play to its technical level and strong strength in aviation logistics, comprehensive bonded area planning consulting and engineering design services.

IPPR's design adopted the concept of "double first floor", which not only saved the use of land resources, but also enabled the residents to have their own completely independent space, greatly speeding up the flow of goods.

The bonded functional area is connected with the port functional area through connection channels designed by IPPR to realize the integration of port operation. The channels will greatly contribute to the cost reduction and efficiency increase of multi-modal transportation and aviation logistics in China.

The company also designed facilities such as a multimodal transport center and a container yard to realize flexible connection with surrounding seaports, railway ports and land ports in addition to international air ports.
